I established In Tandem TC in 2000, initially to produce a double bill of Harold Pinter’s plays Mountain Language and Landscape in British Sign Language with Deaf and hearing actors. After its success the company went on to produce the British Premier of Alex Bulmer’s play Smudge. Other work included the development of Leah Thorn’s kin’a’hora on Anglo-Jewish identity which eventually became the short film My Amulet and with Aicha Kossoko and John Adewole, a production of Beckett’s Happy Days.
In Tandem TC’s work focused on difference and integration of difference in society, creating platforms for culturally diverse and unheard voices.
In 2006 I joined forces with theatre historian and writer Dr Susan Croft to create Unfinished Histories, a major initiative recording the work of alternative theatre in Britain, 1968-88.
In 2012 In Tandem TC became Unfinished Histories.
